ITN Solicitors has exceptional experience in defending military prosecutions.

We have acted in two of the largest and most complex Court Martial prosecutions ever conducted – the 2005 prosecution of soldiers from the Third Battalion, the Parachute Regiment for the alleged murder of an Iraqi civilian in 2003 and the 2007 prosecution of a soldier accused of war crimes after the death of Baha Mousa, an Iraqi civilian. In both cases, ITN's clients were acquitted.

In the latter case, ITN went on to represent the serviceman in question at the public inquiry led by Sir William Gage into Baha Mousa’s death.

ITN has also defended the interests of a number of former servicemen in connection with the Iraq Fatalities Inquiry.
