On behalf of the parents of Nasar Ahmed

18/11/2016

Nasar Ahmed was reported ill last Thursday 10 November 2016 at Bow School in Tower Hamlets after being made subject to disciplinary procedures by school staff. He was taken by ambulance from the school to the Royal London Hospital. Sadly, Nasar died the following Monday afternoon while still in hospital.

Nasar was a caring and gentle son and brother. His parents and family are grieving deeply for their son; they sent him to school in the morning and, like every parent, expected him to return home safely in the afternoon.

The circumstances of Nasar’s death, as yet, are unexplained and raise many questions. It is clear however that he fell ill whilst under the care of Bow School. Nasar’s death is now the subject of both a police investigation and a coroner’s inquiry.  In losing their 14-year-old son, Nasar's mother and father are being forced to live through every parent's worst nightmare. His parents are compelled to demand a thorough, fearless and independent investigation into the events that unfolded at Bow School on 10 November 2016 that led to the death of their child.

The family ask for privacy at this heart-breaking time. They request that all enquiries from the press and others are no longer made directly to them. The family have instructed Irvine Thanvi Natas solicitors and ask that all enquiries and requests for contact with the family should now be made through Mr Lochlinn Parker, the family’s solicitor.
