Adnan qualified as a Solicitor in September 1997. He worked as a Solicitor at another firm in East London until 2009, the last six years as a partner. He concentrated largely on representing clients charged with the most serious of offences, eventually becoming Head of the Crown Court Team, which was responsible for representing the majority of the firm's clients who faced Crown Court proceedings.
Since 2009, Adnan has been a freelance Police Station and Magistrates Court Duty Solicitor. Adnan advises clients before, during and after their being interviewed at the police station, and also represent clients at hearings at local Magistrates and Youth Courts.
